The number of abandoned and inactive mine tailings are on the increase worldwide and present an environmental hazards. A large amount of gold-containing ore concentrate, as well as fine and micron gold, which can now be extracted and brought to a rich concentrate, is found in the tailings of the washing of alluvial deposits and tailings of mercury enrichment of ores.
